Manufacturing Day - Friday, October 6, 2017

September 22, 2017

October is Manufacturing Month. Throughout the month, manufacturers and organizations from across North America put on programs and host events to showcase modern manufacturing, change public perception of manufacturing and inspire the next generation of skilled workers. Many choose to hold events on Manufacturing Day, scheduled for the first Friday of the month. This year, Manufacturing Day is today, Friday, October 6, 2017.

Since its inception in 2012, Manufacturing Day/Month has experienced tremendous growth. More than 2,800 Manufacturing Day events took place in October 2016. You can find more information about Manufacturing Day here.

As a Manufacturing USA institute, NIIMBL is committed to promoting advanced biomanufacturing and cementing its place as a viable career path for future generations. Therefore, we encourage each of our members to consider hosting a Manufacturing Day event.

While October 6 is officially Manufacturing Day, feel free to host an event any day in October. A Manufacturing Day event is an excellent opportunity for your organization to invite the community to your facility to celebrate modern manufacturing.
